ORIGINAL BULDING

Until the time of its donation, the building was owned and occupied by the Senat family.  Built around 1852, it is a 1 ˝ story “Carpenter Gothic” structure characterized by a gable roof and board and batten siding.  “Carpenter Gothic” was a Victorian architecture, which featured more “gingerbread” and was regarded as more of a “country” style than plain Gothic.
